First off, well played CBJ, last night was a valiant effort and was unfortunately too little, too late, but don’t think for a second that Pittsburgh fans weren’t scared straight in that 3rd period. The scene after the game was nothing short of inspiring and hopefully this trend of hockey fandum will continue into next season. Bravo Blue Jackets.
Buy a Home in 2014
CBS News recently released an article about why it is a good idea to buy a home in 2014. The article states that home prices climbed an average of 13.6 percent in 2013 and that percentage has continued to climb into 2014.
CBS states that home prices are expected to rise 5 percent this year, and interest rates on a 30-year fixed mortgage are also expected to rise from 4.5 percent to 5 percent.
The article also talks about the tax deduction availability that comes with owning a home, and paying a mortgage. We are entering the peak real estate market season with schools coming to a close and families looking to relocate before the end of summer. If you are looking to buy or sell, do yourself a favor and give us a call.

Nelsonville is The Place to Be
Speaking of music being played on stage, the Nelsonville Music Festival is coming up in the last weekend in May. Headlining the event is the Avett Brothers, which is just down right cool. I have it on good authority that the event is well worth the ticket, and the it is just a rambling weekend of great music and good Midwestern company. Also in the mix in this years lineup are The Head and The Heart as well as Frank Turner and The Sleeping Souls, and a little known band called Shovels and Rope. Who am I kidding, I’ll probably write a whole post about this later in the week complete with videos and music! So look forward to that coming soon.
