Today we’re going to talk about a great event that helps raise money to benefit Autism Speaks. Coming up on August 9th there will be a golf outing at Cumberland Trail Golf Club in Pataskala, put on by The Learning Spectrum, to benefit Autism Speaks. For those unfamiliar with Autism Speaks, here’s a clip from their “about us” page.
” Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, the grandparents of a child with autism. They have grown into the world’s leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.” – http://www.autismspeaks.org
You can find out more about Autism Speaks on their website. For those interested in participating in the golf outing, the rates are $450 for a corporate package (1 hole sponsorship and a foursome), $300 for a team, $85 to individually sign up, and $100 if you would like to sponsor a hole. For more info and to register visit www.thelearningspectrum.com. We encourage all of those unfamiliar with The Learning Spectrum, to check out their website. They are a great organization that does so much to help those affected by autism in the greater Columbus community.
Cumberland Trail is also a phenomenal golf course. With a Hurdzan and Fry design, they believe that every hole should have a distinctive and strong personality. It’s a gorgeous course and if anyone would like to look at pictures, here’s the link.
This is an absolutely great cause, as autism is becoming more and more prevalent, affecting 1 in 88 children, and it’s also a great way to spend a summer day! Sign up to today for the golf outing to benefit Autism Speaks.
